Stress & Interpersonal patterns.
Stress.
Sometimes the expectations we place on ourselves and the way we interpret situations can contribute to ongoing stress and emotional exhaustion. You may find yourself striving for perfection, being overly critical of yourself, focusing on what could go wrong or feeling that you are never doing enough. Perhaps you worry about making mistakes, feel like a failure when things don't go to plan, seek reassurance or approval from others, or place excessive pressure on yourself to meet high standards. These patterns can make it difficult to switch off, feel satisfied with your achievements or approach challenges with confidence. Over time, they can contribute to anxiety, overwhelm and burnout. Therapy can help you recognise and understand these patterns, challenge unhelpful beliefs and develop more balanced and flexible ways of thinking and responding.
Interpersonal patterns.
Our experiences can shape the way we approach relationships and interact with others, sometimes leading to patterns that make it difficult to express ourselves or have our needs met. You may find yourself accommodating others, avoiding disagreement, struggling to assert your preferences or feeling responsible for other people's feelings. Perhaps you find it difficult to say no, worry about upsetting others or regularly put your own needs aside to maintain harmony. Over time, these patterns can contribute to frustration, resentment or dissatisfaction in your relationships. Therapy can help you understand these patterns, recognise the beliefs and expectations that underpin them, and develop greater confidence in expressing yourself, communicating your needs and establishing healthier boundaries.
